A Careless Act
Tom and Jerry were best friends. One afternoon, they were waiting at the bus stop to go home. While waiting, they were chatting and playing computer games on their phones. They were so excited about the game that they forgot to pay attention to their surroundings.
Soon, the bus arrived. Without thinking, they quickly boarded the bus and found their seats. They continued talking about their game, not realizing that they had left Tom’s school bag on the bench at the bus stop!
A few minutes later, an old man who was also waiting for the bus noticed the bag. He looked around but did not see anyone coming back for it. He picked up the bag and gave it to the bus driver when the next bus arrived.
Meanwhile, inside the bus, Tom suddenly remembered his bag! "Oh no! I left my school bag at the bus stop!" he cried. Jerry looked shocked. "What should we do?" he asked.
Luckily, when they reached their stop, they quickly told the bus driver what had happened. The kind driver made a call to the bus station. After some time, they were relieved to hear that an old man had found the bag and given it to another driver. Tom and Jerry rushed back to the station, and Tom finally got his bag back.
Tom felt very lucky and promised to be more careful next time. He learned an important lesson: Always pay attention to your belongings!

A Brave Act
Last Sunday, Tom and his family went to the beach for a fun day. The waves were gentle and the sun was shining. Everyone was excited. Tom and his cousins played in the sand while the adults prepared a delicious barbecue.
As they were eating, they suddenly heard a loud scream. "Help! Help!" A boy was panicking and frantically waving his hands in the water. He was struggling to stay afloat! The waves had pulled him too far from the shore.
Everyone panicked, but Tom’s older brother, Jack, quickly jumped into action. He was a good swimmer. Without wasting time, he ran into the water and swam as fast as he could toward the boy. The waves were strong, but Jack kept going.
When he reached the boy, he held him tightly and kept his head above the water. Then, he slowly swam back to shore. Everyone cheered when they saw them coming back safely. The boy was scared but not hurt. His parents were very grateful and thanked Jack for his bravery.
That day, Tom felt proud of his brother. Jack had shown courage and quick thinking. Everyone at the beach learned an important lesson: Always be careful in the water, and never swim alone!
It was a day they would never forget.
